At Ashoka, our core values place the highest priority on safeguarding the health and safety of our workforce and protecting our assets and the environment. This commitment forms the foundation of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) vision and guides every decision we make.
We have established a robust Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) that provides a clear framework for creating safe, sustainable, and responsible workplaces. We firmly believe in the principles “Do it Safely or Not at All” and “There is Always Time to Do It Right”, which define our approach to operational discipline.
We expect everyone associated with us to follow HSEMS guidelines and uphold the highest standards of compliance. By integrating HSE and ESG practices into daily operations, we strive for Zero Incidents, Zero Injuries, and Zero Harm, while minimizing our environmental footprint and ensuring the well-being of our communities and stakeholders.
Our team remains committed to achieving the objectives of HSEMS and embedding ESG values into every task, process, and business decision. We invite all stakeholders to join us in strengthening this culture so that responsible operations become a shared and continuous effort.
Together, we will promote safe and healthy workplaces, protect people and property, preserve the environment, and enable responsible and efficient growth for our organization and the nation.
Protective measures focus on eliminating or minimizing hazards through engineering controls, safe work procedures, PPE, and risk-based planning. These actions ensure that workers, equipment, and the environment remain safeguarded during all project stages. They form the first line of defence in an effective HSE Management System.
Monitoring measures involve regular inspections, audits, environmental monitoring, and behavioural observations to verify compliance with standards. These help identify unsafe acts, conditions, and deviations in real time. Continuous monitoring supports proactive decision-making and timely risk mitigation.
Corrective measures address identified non-conformities by eliminating the root cause of incidents or deviations. Preventive measures anticipate potential failures and implement controls before issues occur. Together, CAPA strengthens system reliability and promotes continual improvement in HSE performance.
This includes tracking KPIs, incident statistics, audit scores, and compliance reports to evaluate overall HSE effectiveness. Management reviews these metrics periodically to assess trends and determine improvement priorities. The process ensures accountability and alignment with organizational HSE goals.
A balanced reward and reprimand system motivates safe behaviour and discourages unsafe actions. Positive recognition is given for exemplary safety practices, innovations, and compliance. Reprimands are applied fairly for violations, reinforcing discipline and sustaining a strong safety culture.

Innovative Safety Learning Through Working Models – Infrastructure Construction ||Railway and OHE Projects ||
These models vividly illustrate high-risk railway and Overhead Equipment (OHE) activities, enabling teams to see and practice essential safety controls in a safe, controlled environment. Demonstrations cover OHE mast erection and wiring (insulator handling, tensioning, clearances), gantry crane operations (load stability, exclusion zones, signaling, anti-collision measures), bridge and track work (scaffolding stability, fall protection, electrical isolation), work zone protections along tracks (barricading, signage, flagmen, possession management), high-voltage hazard simulations (live wire approach, earthing, permit-to-work systems), and the full Hazard Control Hierarchy (HIRA/HIRAC: Elimination → Substitution → Engineering → Administrative → PPE).
Importance & Benefits of Model-Based Training
This approach strengthens safety culture while promoting eco-friendly innovation in railway and OHE projects
Innovative Safety Learning Through Working Models – Infrastructure Construction || Road and Bridge Projects ||
These models vividly illustrate high-risk road and bridge activities, enabling teams to see and practice essential safety controls in a safe environment. Demonstrations cover gantry crane operations (load stability, exclusion zones, signaling), road layering & equipment movement, work zone protections, road diversion setups (barricading, signage, traffic marshals, night visibility), grader launching (stability & safe radius), and the full Hazard Control Hierarchy (HIRA/HIRAC: Elimination → Substitution → Engineering → Administrative → PPE).
Importance & Benefits of Model-Based Training
This approach strengthens safety culture while promoting eco-friendly innovation in road and bridge projects.
Preventing Fire Before It Starts – Specialized Flash Back Arrestor Training By Messer Cutting Systems
at Kundalika Project
Specialized Safety Training on Flash Back Arrestor was successfully conducted at the Kundalika Project Site on 19.02.2026. The session focused on the critical importance of preventing flash back incidents during gas cutting and welding operations. Welders and cutters were trained on correct installation, inspection, and maintenance of flash back arrestors. The program emphasized hazard identification and safe oxy-fuel gas handling practices. Real case examples were discussed to highlight potential consequences of unsafe practices. The training was delivered by Mr. Mahesh Shinde, Territory Sales Executive – Messer Cutting Systems, bringing valuable technical expertise. All subcontractor workers, welders, and fabrication contractors actively participated in the session. The interactive discussion helped strengthen awareness and accountability at the site level. Such proactive safety initiatives significantly reduce fire and explosion risks. Committed to building a Zero Incident Work Culture through continuous safety education and skill enhancement.
