Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Finance with strong expertise in Project Finance, Financial Closure, Term Loans, and compliance for large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, stable in career, and highly skilled in spreadsheets & financial modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Project Finance activities including financial structuring, cash-flow planning, and funding requirements.

  • Handle Term Loan processes, lender coordination, documentation, and disbursement follow-ups.

  • Prepare and review Financial Documentation, DPR financial sections, CMA data, and lender submissions.

  • Ensure financial compliances as per lender covenants and regulatory norms.

  • Support and lead activities related to Financial Closure of projects (500 Cr+ preferred) in sectors such as Roads, Railways, Power, Solar, or Water.

  • Develop advanced Excel-based financial models, cash-flow forecasts, and project viability analysis.

  • Utilize Excel Macros / VBA to automate reports and enhance financial reporting efficiency.

  • Assist in internal audits, MIS reporting, budgeting, and monitoring financial KPIs.

  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, FIs, consultants, and internal project teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute OR C.A. / F.C.A.

  • Minimum CGPA 6.0+ (where applicable).

  • Engineering bachelors degree is an added advantage.

Experience Criteria:

  • 7+ years of full-time experience in Finance.

  • Mandatory experience in Infrastructure sector (Roads / Power / Railways / Solar / Water).

  • Note: Pure Real Estate / Building sector experience is not considered.

  • Must have worked on at least one project financial closure of 500 Cr+.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
  • Assist Project Manager in preparation and monitoring of project schedules (engineering, procurement, construction).

  • Coordinate between design, procurement, site execution, QA/QC, and safety teams.

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against approved programs.

Engineering & Drawing Coordination:
  • Coordinate with consultants and in-house teams for issue, review, and approval of drawings.

  • Maintain drawing registers, transmittals, and revision controls.

  • Ensure drawings issued to site are latest approved versions.

Procurement & Material Coordination:
  • Liaise with Procurement team for material submittals, delivery schedules, and site requirements.

  • Track long-lead E&M items and highlight potential delays.

  • Coordinate material inspections, deliveries, and availability at site.

Site & Construction Support:
  • Coordinate with site engineers to ensure work fronts are available.

  • Monitor site progress for civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.

  • Assist in resolving inter-disciplinary and site-related issues.

Client, Consultant & Authority Interface:
  • Act as coordination point between Client, Consultant, PMC, Local Authorities, and Sub-contractors.

  • Arrange and record project review meetings, MOMs, and follow-up actions.

  • Support statutory approvals related to environment, utilities, and local bodies.

Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports (DPR), weekly & monthly reports.

  • Maintain project correspondence, approvals, and document control systems.

  • Assist in preparation of RA bills, progress certificates, and MIS reports.

Quality, Safety & Compliance Coordination:
  • Coordinate with QA/QC team for ITPs, inspections, and test records.

  • Support implementation of HSE plans and statutory safety requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with CPHEEO, CPCB, BIS, ISO, and contract specifications.

Commissioning & Handover Support:
  • Assist in testing, commissioning, and performance trials.

  • Coordinate collection of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and training records.

  • Support project close-out and handover documentation.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:
 
Procurement Planning & Execution
  • Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules for STP, WTP, Sewer Networks, Desalination Plants, FGD Systems, Bio-Gas Plants etc.
  • Identify long-lead E&M items and ensure early procurement.
  • Prepare material requirement schedules (MRS) in coordination with Engineering and Project teams.
 
Vendor Identification & Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and empanel OEMs, authorized dealers, and system integrators.
  • Conduct vendor pre-qualification based on technical capability, past experience, financial strength, and compliance.
  • Maintain and update approved vendor lists for E&M equipment.
 
Technical & Commercial Coordination
  • Coordinate with Design, Process, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Civil teams to finalize technical specifications.
  • Float RFQs / RFPs, techno-commercial bid documents, and BOQs.
  • Ensure bids comply with CPHEEO, MoHUA, CPCB, BIS, IEC, ISO, EPA, and project-specific standards.
 
Techno-Commercial Evaluation
  • Carry out technical scrutiny of bids with Engineering teams.
  • Prepare comparative statements (TCS / CCS) and recommend vendors.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, AMC, and penalties
 
Purchase Order & Contract Management
  • Prepare and release Purchase Orders / Work Orders / Supply Contracts.
  • Ensure contractual compliance including LD clauses, performance guarantees, bank guarantees, and insurance.
  • Track order progress and expedite deliveries to meet project milestones.
 
Logistics, Inspection & Expediting
  • Coordinate factory inspections, FAT, third-party inspections as per contract.
  • Manage logistics, packing, transportation, and site delivery.
  • Coordinate with site teams for material receipt, inspection, and storage.
 
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain complete procurement documentation including:
    • PO/WO files
    • Vendor drawings and approvals
    • Test certificates and compliance reports
    • Warranty & guarantee documents
  • Ensure compliance with client, consultant, and statutory requirements.
 
Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Monitor procurement costs against approved budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and alternate sourcing.
  • Assist in project cash-flow planning related to procurement.
 
Interface with Stakeholders
  • Liaise with Clients, Consultants, PMC, Third-Party Inspectors, and OEMs.
  • Attend procurement review meetings and audits.
 
Post-Procurement Support
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and handing-over activities.
  • Coordinate for spares, AMC, O&M manuals, and training from suppliers.
