  • Prepare equipment mobilization and demobilization plans for different project locations
  • Monitor equipment utilization and ensure optimum productivity across all work fronts
  • Track idle time, breakdowns, and equipment performance, and take corrective actions
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery
  • Ensure timely repair and maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Maintain records of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and operating hours
  • Monitor fuel consumption and control wastage through proper tracking and reporting
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with store/purchase team for timely procurement
  • Ensure availability of trained operators and coordinate manpower requirements
  • Implement equipment safety practices and ensure compliance with HSE requirements
  • Maintain equipment logbooks, service records, and maintenance history
  • Support planning team with equipment productivity inputs for scheduling and cost control
  • Identify requirement of additional equipment and justify based on site conditions and workload
  • Coordinate with vendors/service providers for repairs and specialized maintenance
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience in SAP or similar ERP systems for equipment management, maintenance tracking, fuel monitoring, and cost control

Job Description

  • Execute day-to-day management of plant and machinery at site as per instructions of P&M Engineer
  • Ensure proper deployment of equipment such as excavators, graders, rollers, pavers, batching plants, etc. at assigned work fronts
  • Monitor equipment operation and ensure efficient utilization at site
  • Coordinate with operators and ensure machines are used as per requirement and without idle time
  • Carry out routine inspection of machinery and identify any faults or breakdowns
  • Assist in preventive maintenance and repair activities at site
  • Coordinate with workshop or external service teams for major repairs
  • Maintain daily records of equipment usage, working hours, and downtime
  • Track fuel consumption and report abnormal usage or wastage
  • Ensure availability of fuel, lubricants, and consumables for uninterrupted operation
  • Assist in managing spare parts and coordinate with store for requirements
  • Ensure safe operation and handling of all equipment at site
  • Follow HSE guidelines and ensure operators comply with safety practices
